Rear interior

With the windows (finally) done I could get the few pieces of rear interior put in

First up was de-rusting, painting and then covering the rear arm rests. Before the vinyl I used a sheet of sound-absorbing foam to pad it out a bit. After the vinyl cover the new ash trays were popped into a cut-out hole

In the car… First was to make a watershield to protect the interior from water coming in from the windows. I made this out of clear plastic and sealed it to the metal panel with weatherstrip adhesive. Then the upper part of the arm rest was screwed to the lower part.

The padded door panel was a hole that needs to be cut for the window regulator, the hole is located by mock installing the panel to mark the location. Then, a soldering iron make a nice neat hole through the material.

Finally with the side panel on the arm rest can then get screwed on. The window handle goes on last but I’m looking for the circlips to hold them on currently…
